Profile of Mr. Ismail Lukwago

Mr. Ismail Lukwago is the University Secretary of St. Peter’s University (SPU), bringing a wealth of experience in academia, business, and information and communication technology (ICT). A dedicated leader and academic professional, Mr. Lukwago has made significant contributions to higher education and research in Uganda.

His career journey includes a notable tenure at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), where he served as a lecturer in the Faculty of Computing . He later joined Metropolitan International University (MIU) as the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, a role in which he provided strategic leadership and spearheaded initiatives for academic excellence.

Mr. Lukwago’s passion for research and innovation led him to champion the establishment of MIU’s Graduate School, of Research, and Innovation. He became the first Director of the school, where he laid a solid foundation for fostering academic and scientific research, driving innovation, and mentoring graduate students.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Lukwago is a devoted father, a mentor to many young professionals and students, and a seasoned researcher with multiple published research articles to his name. His dedication to education, leadership, and research continues to inspire others and contribute to the growth of academia in Uganda and beyond.
