In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Vice Chancellor represents the University in external engagements and serves as its primary spokesperson. The Vice Chancellor also presides over ceremonial functions in the absence of the Chancellor, including the conferring of degrees and academic honors. Role & Responsibilities

Policy & Planning Formulation

The Vice Chancellor of St. Peter’s University is at the forefront of developing and reviewing policies and strategic plans designed to foster growth, academic excellence, and professional development within the University’s programs. This role is crucial in shaping the direction of the institution, ensuring that it remains responsive to the evolving educational landscape and the needs of its students and faculty.

Management & Fiscal Control

As the Chief Executive Officer of the University, the Vice Chancellor is responsible for maintaining efficiency, effectiveness, and good governance throughout the institution. This involves providing strong leadership to the Senior Management Team, coordinating the implementation of strategic management plans, and ensuring that the University’s financial and administrative operations align with its mission and goals. The Vice Chancellor also plays a key role in mobilizing resources, both internally and externally, to support the University’s policies, plans, and programs.

Responsibility to Council

The Vice Chancellor serves as a member of the University Council, presenting the University’s position and recommendations on various issues and challenges that require Council intervention. In this capacity, the Vice Chancellor is responsible for the overall conduct and discipline of University staff and students, ensuring that the institution upholds its values and standards.

Responsibility to Senate

In the capacity of Chairperson of the Senate, the Vice Chancellor is tasked with directing the implementation of Senate decisions. This role is essential in ensuring that the University’s academic policies and programs are executed effectively, supporting the institution’s commitment to educational excellence.

External Liaison

The Vice Chancellor represents St. Peter’s University externally, acting as the key spokesperson on all matters related to the institution. This role involves promoting awareness and understanding of the University’s mission, objectives, policies, and programs, thereby enhancing its reputation and engagement with the broader community.
